After the couples counseling, quite a lot of things changed in my relationship. What I first started doing was to learn how to fix things. I was helped by couples counseling to show me what needed to be done. Naturally my wife was not that happy with me. If I would just pay more attention to her, and her needs, I knew I could change a lot of things.

I was a fix it idiot, yet one of those needs was fixing things around the house. So I searched the Internet on fix it tips. So it did not take long at all until I was fixing things around the house, and of course my wife was thrilled.

So, were our problems over? Not on your life.

Things did not improve until we both sat back and got really objective about ourselves, and started working on ourselves.

Couples counseling or not, just remember this: no matter how much fixing I did around the home, I could never ultimately make my wife happy, if she was not happy already from within.

If you want a successful relationship this is the way to go.

Just be happy right now. No one in the world can make you upset except yourself. To this conclusion took me quite awhile to make. Now I do not try to find happiness in other people, I love sharing in their happiness, however. Now I share in my wife’s happiness and she in mine. Couples counseling will show you ways to save your relationship.
